Cookie policy

The following Cookies Policy sets out the rules for storing and accessing data on the Devices of Users using the Website for the purposes of providing electronic services by the Website Administrator.

§1 Definitions

1. service – the website operating at www.herring.torun.pl.

2. external website – website of the Administrator’s partners, service providers or customers

3. Administrator – PPH „Herring” Brygida Stachniuk, conducting business at the address: Wielka Nieszawka, Przemysłowa 23 with assigned tax identification number (NIP): 9560018804, providing services electronically through the Website and storing and accessing information in the User’s devices.

4. User – natural person for whom the Administrator provides services electronically through the Website.

5. Device – an electronic device with software, through which the User gains access to the Website. 6) Cookies – cookies.

6. Cookies – text data collected in the form of files placed on the User’s Device.

§2 Types of cookies

1. Internal cookies – files placed and read from the User’s Device by the Service’s data communications system

2. External cookies – files placed and read from the User Device by IT systems of external Services

3. Session cookies – files placed and read from the User Device by the Website or external Services during a single session of the Device. At the end of a session the files are deleted from the User Device.

4. Permanent cookies: files placed and read from the User’s Device by the Website or external Services until they are manually deleted. The files are not deleted automatically after the end of the session of the Device, unless the configuration of the User Device is set to delete cookies after the end of the session of the Device.

 

§3 Security

1. Storage and Reading Mechanisms – The storage and reading mechanisms for Cookies do not allow any personal data or any confidential information to be retrieved from the User Device. The transfer of viruses, Trojan horses to the User Device is practically impossible.

2. Internal cookies: The Administrator uses internal cookies which are safe for User Devices.

3. External cookies: the Administrator is not responsible for the safety of cookies from the Website’s partners. The list of partners can be found further on in the Cookie Policy.

 

§4  The purposes for which cookies are used

1. Improving and facilitating access to the Website – the Administrator may store information about the User’s preferences and settings regarding the Website in cookies in order to improve, enhance and expedite the provision of services on the Website.

2. Statistical data – the Administrator and external Services use cookies to collect and process statistical data such as e.g. visit statistics, User Device statistics or user behaviour statistics. This data is collected in order to analyse and improve the Website.

 

§5 External services

The Administrator cooperates with the following external services that may place cookies on User Devices:

1. Google Analytics

2. the possibility of determining the conditions for storing and accessing data on the User’s Device by the service and external services

3. The User may, at any time, individually modify his/her settings regarding the storage, deletion and access to data of the stored cookies

4. the User may, at any time, delete any cookies already stored using the tools of the User’s Device through which the User accesses the Website.

 

§6 Service requirements

1 Restricting the storage and access to cookies on the User’s Device may result in the malfunctioning of certain functions of the Website.

2. The Administrator shall not be held liable in any way for malfunctioning functions of the Website in the event that the User restricts in any way the ability to save and read Cookie files.
